More about Brittany

I am a native of the Pacific Northwest.  I was raised in the Bellingham area where I now reside after spending years in Seattle, WA and Greenville, SC where I had a wide range of professional experiences.

I graduated from the University of Portland where I majored in philosophy.   My life has been deeply enriched by my philosophical endeavors and I find working with people to be incredibly meaningful and fulfilling.

I spent four years working as an instructional assistant at Children's Institute for Learning Differences, a private, non-profit organization in the greater Seattle area that services children with varying social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

I completed my Master of Arts degree in Psychology at Seattle University, during which time I interned at Vashon Youth and Family Services where I saw a wide range of clients.  I am now in my eight year of clinical practice where I have had the honor of helping many people improve the quality of their relationships and lives.

I am a certified (Gottman Institute) couples counselor and have 5+ years of specific Gestalt-based training in couples counseling (GATLA). Along with couples work, I have also specialized in individual psychotherapy/counseling for adults and adolescents by participating in various post-graduate trainings.

During my time in South Carolina, I diversified my experiences as an entrepreneur by beginning my business as a life coach and managing operations at my spouse’s martial arts school. I also gained leadership experience working as a Youth and Family Services Program Director at the YMCA of Greenville.

Having returned to my hometown, I now work both as a therapist and coach virtually which allows me to continue to build relationships and facilitate growth for people locally and at a distance.
